The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) has opened the application portal for first-time university students for the 2026/2027 academic year. This is a reminder for all students placed in universities to submit their applications as soon as possible.
Key Information for University Applicants
Students placed in public universities are eligible to apply for both a government scholarship and a HELB loan through the Higher Education Financing (HEF) portal. Students placed in private universities are eligible to apply for the HELB loan only .
Application Deadline
Applications should be submitted early to avoid last-minute technical issues and delays.
